In most cases, teachers don't have to create their own class lists. In the event that you are responsible for creating your own class lists and have been told so by your administration, you may find this article helpful: How Do I Create Custom Courses And Class Lists?
One of the most powerful aspects of the JumpRope school-based system is that it has the ability to store and utilize the school's schedule so that teachers don't need to type out student lists or create their own classes. This powerful feature becomes particularly important in middle and high schools as students move through many classes and teachers per day.
This aspect of the system enhances many important features, such as printed reports across multiple classes, matching students between more than one class, communication between all teachers that teach a given student, credit accumulation analysis, etc. It also powers the student lists given to teachers when they enter attendance and grades. Because of this, the accuracy of the scheduling system is paramount, and should be a high priority for schools to enter at the beginning of the year.
If you are a teacher and are not seeing the correct classes, please first contact the person in charge of the schedule at your school - most likely, this will lead to the quickest resolution. You may also contact JumpRope support directly, but it is likely that we'll have to inform administrators at your school to resolve the problem. Even if this is frustrating to wait for, it is almost always best to correct the issue on the school end so that all systems are synchronized properly.
It is our experience that schedules take awhile to "settle" and tend to change throughout a year or term. For this reason, and to help ensure accuracy, we give school-based staff complete control of student schedules. JumpRope staff cannot change schedules for a school.
If you notice an error in the scheduling system, please get in touch with the trained contact at your school to get it sorted out (we refer to this person as the "programmer"). They can modify the schedule for you, and have direct access to technical support if required. Contacting JumpRope staff directly about your scheduling issue will delay the fix, as we will ultimately have to get in touch with the programmer anyway.
