This is a quick guide to creating comments. To learn more about the philosophy and advanced options for comments, check out this article.
Internal comments in JumpRope provide a simple way to communicate anecdotally among fellow staff members about students. You can think of them like an email (in fact, by default they generate email notifications when created or updated), but with special properties:
- They are attached to students, so you can pull up a running record of incidents per student.
- They are categorized by type, so you can (as an example) report on positive vs. negative comments or specific types of violations.
- They can be open or resolved, which provides a workflow that can be followed to ensure that each comment receives appropriate followup.
To create a comment from anywhere in JumpRope, click the blue "New Comment" button in the top-right:
