In addition to the mastery data that you've worked hard to gather, you may be interested in sending an anecdotal message to students & parents for your course or courses. JumpRope allows this through a feature that we call Course Comments. JumpRope allows one comment per student per course. You can always view, edit, or remove existing comments if you would like to make changes between marking periods. When a new term is started (provided that you do not annualize your curriculum), you will have to write new comments.
To enter comments, simply go to the Grade tab as if you were going to enter scores. From the More menu, select the "Enter Course Comments" option and use the provided interface to view, add, or modify comments for each student. Note: you must have entered at least one score value for each student within the selected course for course comments to work. If you enter course comments and later choose to delete all scores for a student, the comment will be deleted along with the scores.
To access Course Comment mode, perform the following steps (from the Grade tab):
Once in comment mode, click to "Load" the report and then click on a student row to open the comment entry window. Create and save your course comment. This comment will be displayed on a student's progress report in the same field as the title of the given course.

Our courses are annualized, but we print out progress reports for students a few times a year. Is there a way to delete my comments from a few months ago, or will I have to delete each of those individually?
Hi Lori,
Actually, there is a new feature in the Course Comments box where you can Archive your old comments. We'd be happy to give more detail if you need it, just drop us a line at support@jumpro.pe.
