We've added the national physical education standards (NASPE) to JumpRope, alongside the Common Core and next-gen National Science Standards. Thanks for all of the requests from our PE teachers!

An update today (12/4/2013) fixed a few small items:

    1) Fixed an issue where certain school-wide attendance reports were applying date filters incorrectly in the Backoffice and were mistakenly returning empty or incorrect results.
    2) Fixed an issue where progress reports that included a character/work habits summary at the end were printing the letterhead a second time, which often caused page wrapping issues.
    3) Fixed an issue where in some cases, users were not automatically logged in to our support system / knowledge base when clicking on help links within JumpRope. (note: we are still having an issue with screenshots within help documents displaying as broken links - we are waiting for Zendesk to fix this issue on their end)

And added a few small things:

    1) Printed (PDF) comments now include the name of the issuer as well as the student and assignee.
    2) Added links to a few updated help documents.

(12/15/2013) Over the next few days, we're rolling out an exciting new feature as part of JumpRope Labs: the ability to email progress reports to students and parents! You can now do this for a whole class at a time or even the whole school at once. This feature is still in testing as part of JumpRope Labs, and naturally requires that you store student and/or parent email addresses accurately in JumpRope. You can learn more here: http://support.jumpro.pe/hc/en-us/articles/200565314

(1/7/2014) This morning, we're giving some much-needed love to the comments features (particularly related to printing comments, viewing in the Backoffice, and interventions). With these updates, our printed comment reports are graduating from JumpRope Labs into fully supported features!

--Expanding the Comment Feed in the Backoffice to show more than the most recent 40. Now shows up to 500 comments.
--Adding PDF print support to intervention management page (prints list of relevant comments for selected date or all unresolved comments).
--Printed (PDF) comments have improved formatting that uses the available space on the page more efficiently.
Intervention summary (if any assigned) is now included in notification email (instead of simply showing "Intervention assigned" in the followup). "Intervention assigned" text is no longer added to followup when interventions are assigned.
--In the comment creation/edit dialog, assigned-to user and CCd users (teachers and staff) are now referred to by their full name instead of their self-determined nickname (we've decided that e.g. "Mr. C" is not always natural / clear for teachers looking up other teachers by name).
--The comments "pod" on the teacher dashboard now shows comments in which you are CCd in the "All Comments Assigned to Me" with the titles of each section renamed for clarity.

A release yesterday made a handful of improvements to the Common Charter School Application and a few small bug fixes for our main application:

--Charter Application confirmation email language was updated to clarify next steps for the applicant
--The format of the applicant date of birth in application CSV exports was changed to improve readability in Excel
--A fix was made to help certain browsers properly save PDF exports with the correct .PDF extension
--Improvements to the backend to improve our ability to report statistics in real time

    As for the main application:
--Speed improvements were made when loading the Plan tab with lots of units (> 50)
--We fixed a visual glitch when entering scores in "By Standard" mode (the non-default) where the selected cell would sometimes display a "ghost" of the previously-selected cell's score, causing mass hysteria (nothing was actually wrong with the saved scores)
--Made a handful of performance improvements
--Removing the (mostly not useful, sometimes inaccurate) charts on the landing page of the Backoffice while we work to replace the landing page with more useful metrics.
--The "Common Core" report in the Teacher Dashboard -> Reports tab no longer automatically loads because in some schools it was quite large and it's the first report in the Reports tab.
--A couple of Backoffice comment reports were fixed, and now show comments over the proper date range.

(1/10/2014) A couple of small updates today as well (busy week!). These will roll out to users beginning this afternoon and into the weekend.

--Drastic improvements to the loading speed of Backoffice mastery reports (across the whole school). In addition to being much faster, this should resolve the issue that caused some reports to stop loading entirely after a large number (more than ~50,000) of scores were included in the report. The reports also include a more useful progress indicator (showing the percentage of records loaded so far) so that you know whether to grab coffee or not...)
--Fixing an issue related to Gender and Ethnicity showing in the Biographicals tab for schools that do not use the NYC STARS data system for student support.
--A couple of general performance issues were fixed.
--An elusive bug related to attendance was resolved (we think). This would have potentially affected teachers that co-teach SuperCourses (yeah, apparently that happens). Attendance was saved for the correct student, date, and period in this case, but in some cases the wrong course was associated. As a result, the attendance by course reports (in the Courses tab) as well as the attendance submission report in the Backoffice were not correctly showing the relevant attendance records. A shout out to Essex Street Academy for helping us track and squash this bug!

We had a nice smooth release this morning, and were able to sneak a few more features/fixes in this week:

--fix for resolving interventions from the intervention lists in the backoffice - should work for all comment types now
--adding gender/race to custom explore grouping options for mastery reports in the backoffice
--fixed an issue that caused 500 error when certain users tried to access help document links from within the app that were hosted on our support system

This release is rolling out to all users as we speak - this process can take a couple of hours.

    Have a nice weekend!

(1/26/2014) This week we have a number of new features, some bug fixes, and some updates that will help facilitate switching to the new term as many schools approach the end of their semester

--Enabling an refreshed "New Term Wizard" that guides school administrators through the process of switching JumpRope into a new term
--Adding the ability for teachers to switch over to classes in previous terms (of the same year) within the courses tab in order to easily view old grades and attendance (this is already possible from the Grade tab). More info here: http://support.jumpro.pe/hc/en-us/articles/200807890
--Launching "Automatic Attendance Error Detection" feature as part of JumpRope Labs: http://support.jumpro.pe/hc/en-us/articles/200659945
--Adding the ability for teachers to archive all of their units at once (as long as not shared with multiple teachers) from the Plan tab
--Fixing an issue that caused deletion of individual attendance records to be VERY slow
--Updated look and feel for the Student->Attendance page, giving a clearer view of attendance over time as well as some handy attendance insights. The old reports can still be found under the "Reports" tab: http://screencast.com/t/I2zogFmuwhYP
--We're bumping up the maximum unit name length (displayed) in the plan tab - previously, units with title's longer than 44 characters were visually cut off. Now the screen wraps.
--We're fixing an issue that caused course comments and overrides to occasionally save for the wrong section in the case that a supercourse was selected in the Grade tab at the time of grade entry. This only happened when the teacher alternated between different sections / super-courses throughout the grade entry, as opposed to being consistent each time (in other words, this didn't impact many users so don't worry too much :)
--Fixing an issue that caused the student comments to sort in ascending date order (in the Students tab) when descending typically makes more sense. Users could change the sort manually (and still can), but it was an inconvenience.
--We've got a fix for the Grade tab wherein if you had too many units shared with an individual course (> 40 or so), you couldn't see or scroll to the bottom few.
--A fix for some schools that use our "Final Rating" feature where some new units were not properly receiving automatic final ratings.
--Since we added the ability to search for and open multiple students at a time (in up to five student tabs), some users have pointed out that certain things became harder (such as keeping certain settings on a report consistent while switching students, instead of having to repeatedly change the settings). We're adding the ability to switch the current tab to any of a number of students now as well (should be obvious within the student tab)

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since we released a formal update (we have a major new set of features in the works, though it's not yet ready to be released). Today is a smattering of bug fixes and improvements:

--an issue causing the first student alphabetically to not load in Backoffice mastery reports if the date range was changed and data refreshed has been fixed.
--course labels in the drop-down for unit sharing have been improved for clarity for those that need to share units across multiple terms
--an issue with schools that use custom cycledays not being able to view the Attendance Submission report on certain days has been resolved
--an issue preventing certain special characters (such as quotes) to be accepted in course comments has been (we think) resolved, though we're still waiting to hear more feedback
--an issue causing some units to display an error when cloned has been resolved (the clone worked, and the error was erroneous)
--an issue preventing new units from being created in the Curriculum tab for schools with certain scheduling properties has been resolved
--an issue related to attendance submission in the Courses tab when course periods and period labels didn't match up (i.e. if a school calls period 0 period 1) has been resolved, though attendance was always saving properly (just initially showing up under the wrong period)
--fixed an issue where the full teacher name was used in printed comment reports for the assignee (instead of honoring the "name to kids")
--an issue allowing any teacher to add additional co-teachers to classes synchronized through a SIS was resolved.

    Stay tuned for more!

It's been awhile since an update here, but quite a bit has taken place. In response to some recent security disclosures by major internet companies (related to the Heartbleed bug), JumpRope undertook a significant upgrade to our backend security systems to help further secure your data. Despite our public website being vulnerable to the this issue (www.jumpro.pe), we can confirm that our application and data server (app.jumpro.pe) was not exposed to the issue and your data is safe. Nevertheless, we took this opportunity to further consolidate and secure systems in general. This update was done relatively quickly due to unfolding events, and we apologize to any users who saw slower response times or had issues logging in during the updates.

That said, we've made a few small improvements and fixes over the last few weeks (some of which were fixing bugs that cropped up when we made security enhancements). The following are available as of this morning:

--any user with access to student records can now edit most (non-SIS-synced) biographical fields from within the student tab
--student following and related features (auto-ccing comments and missing work reports) were temporarily broken and have been fixed as of this morning, 4/30/2014
--mastery reports in the Courses tab, which filter by the selected course, now also show scores from the selected course code even if from previous terms (a permissions update temporarily changed the default behavior here). You can manually toggle whether scores are filtered by term here from within the advanced filters menu.
--bulk mastery reports can now be generated without a popup window. additionally, the progress bars are more accurate and report generation should be slightly faster.
--we have officially launched the beta of our district administrator tool, from which district admins can manage users, settings, and reports across multiple schools in a network or district. Inquire within our support team if you're interested in learning more.
--a fix for the "View Attendance" report in the Courses tab, which was temporarily broken during the security updates, went out this morning
--schools that manually build schedules and class lists within JumpRope can now add courses for future terms instead of just the current term
    --more to come soon.

    Hello everyone,

A release went out Friday, 5/24 with a number of fixes and improvements. Here's a laundry list:

--schools using our beta of "hierarchical standards" saw a number of improvements in the standard-creation and planning interface
--our tools for TFA Institute (corps members and staff) were officially added to our production interface in preparation for summer institute beginning next week!
--filters and page-size were improved in backoffice comment reports such that schools with many comments (>5000 for the year) can search the entire list of comments to help report on student behavior and interventions.
--improvements were made to certain "mastery pivot reports" to fix the higher-level aggregates reporting out.
--the performance of loading certain attendance data was improved significantly
--an improvement was made to the bulk comment creation interface to allow users to type in many student names without using the mouse
--users can now adjust the date range and other settings when viewing/entering "course grades and comments" via the Grade tab, allowing them more flexibility in comparing calculated grades to override grades
--LONG TIME BUG FIX certain schools which labeled periods something other than the numeric equivalent (e.g. period "5" was labeled "Lunch" sometimes saw attendance appear under the wrong period in the entry interface (though it was saved correctly in the database and would be correct upon refresh of the report). This is now fixed!!
--users creating their school schedule manually can now import students WITH BIOGRAPHICALS in bulk in the schedule creation interface. Other small improvements were made to the manual schedule building process as well
--The student attendance tab now includes the number of periods a student is tardy and absent
--when followup is added to a comment, the issuer is now notified via email.
--an issue causing the "Missing (following)" report under the Reports tab to not load for all followed students has been fixed
--Custom Courses can now be deleted by the teacher that created them

    Stay tuned for more!

We're releasing a quick fix today (5/27) after having to temporarily revert our update from 5/24 due to a bug that cropped up. Today's release fixes that bug and actually pushes out the updates listed above.

Furthermore, we're adding a fix for duplicate-enrollment detection in the manual schedule building tool when setting up schedules for future years.

    Good afternoon,

As school starts up across the country, the feedback has been flying in! We've made several small updates over the last two weeks (since 9/1/2014) in order to fix bugs and enable critical features. Unfortunately, we fell behind on our release notes! Here's a summary of fixes and changes in the last few updates.. I promise to get better at updating this regularly for future updates :)

-- ADMIN: when attempting to create a user account with a username that already exists (e.g. a free account), a meaningful warning is now displayed to help you know what is going on.
-- ADMIN: schools that synchronize their schedule with a SIS automatically can now see a log of success/errors in the Admin Console. They can also browse (but not change) the synced schedule in the Admin Console->Schedule tab.
-- ADMIN: improvements were made to the student bulk import that makes it easier to add contact information and custom biographical information to students. Look in Backoffice->Attendance & Schedule->Custom Biographicals to check it out!
-- ADMIN: a fix was applied to make welcome emails to students & parents for the portal support any available email addresses instead of just the primary email address.
-- PLAN: improvements were made to the Plan (beta) standard selection tool to make it work better when multiple teachers were simultaneously adding the same standard(s) to multiple classes from multiple accounts. We also improve the look and usability of the standard selection tool for users with small screen sizes.
-- COMMENTS: fixes were made to improve the speed of comments, the messages in the inbox if empty, and the handling of open/resolved as well as interventions.
-- COMMENTS: several fixes were applied to make the intervention summary report and general intervention management more reliable.
-- ATTENDANCE: a fix was made to the Attendance Submission report.
-- ATTENDANCE: the student attendance summary page was not loading all metrics properly. This has been resolved.
-- GENERAL: when enabled for a school, a teacher can now designate one or more 'co-teachers' for their courses. This makes it easier for teachers to get up and running when the JumpRope courses are synced with a SIS that does not support co-teaching. This designation will "survive" a schedule synchronization with the SIS.
-- REPORTS: improvements were made to the custom grouping scheme options throughout the tool to better support districts and schools that use hierarchical standards (the Plan beta)
-- REPORTS: additional flexibility was added to custom grade conversion formulas as well as the options to round and convert scores throughout JumpRope reports.
-- REPORTS: a fix was applied to bulk schedule printing that was preventing the PDF from generating properly if any courses did not have a valid name or teacher. It now skips invalid courses but will still generate the rest of the reports.
-- REPORTS: online and printed student schedules now show the "nice" name of the teacer ("Name to Kids") instead of the "official" teacher name which was sometimes just a number for certain SIS syncs. If more than one teacher is assigned to a course, only the first teacher name is shown.
-- GENERAL: custom courses (and any teacher-created courses) can now be archived to make it easier to begin using JumpRope for a second year.
-- COMMENTS: fixed an issue where some comments were displaying as January 0, 1970 in certain views (was just a display problem, but was very confusing)
-- ADMIN: fixed an issue where student birthdays were not importing properly if in the default Excel format.
-- PLAN: improvements were made to the "filter by grade level" in the standard bank within the Plan (beta) to make it easier to find the relevant standards
-- ADMIN: "Schedule Name" in the user settings has been renamed to "Schedule Code" because in many cases it is simply an ID number. It now warns you that you might break something when you attempt to manually edit it.
-- PLAN: For users in the Plan (beta), certain circumstances would cause duplicates of units and assessments to show up even though only one copy was saved. Fixed!
-- GENERAL: if multiple student tabs were opened simultaneously, the custom biographical information would show for the latest student only.
-- COMMENTS: fixed an issue where updating an existing comment and adding followup could lead to the "spinner of death"
-- PLAN: custom assessment types now support decimals in the default weight (was previously limited to integer weights)
-- PLAN: improvements were made to the Clone Unit functionality withing the Plan (beta) to make the visual feedback upon successful cloning more obvious and to fix a potential error if cloning was done before assessments were aligned to standards.
-- ATTENDANCE: a fix to allow partial attendance to submitted (if enabled in the Admin Console)
-- GENERAL: teachers can now manage their Follow List from the Account & Settings tab, which makes it easier to clear our followed students from year's past.
-- GENERAL: in certain cases, newly-created user accounts could not access the help documentation. This should be resolved now.
-- PLAN: deleting a unit in the Plan (beta) now gives good visual feedback and refreshes the list of units
-- PLAN: National/Power standards in the original Plan tab now sort alphabetically by default
-- SCHEDULES: A fix was applied to properly show courses on student schedules when the course meets more than once per day with different teachers assigned to different meeting times (but same course code)
-- STUDENT/PARENT: fix for the attendance tab of the student/parent portal not properly showing attendance history by day (only showed one day at a time)
-- ADMIN: improved course mapping interface for schools using STARS that need to associate multiple teachers with a single course - now applies immediately instead of waiting for the next import!
-- GENERAL: JumpRope now attempts to properly capitalize user and student names when imported from a system that shows all caps, mostly just to make things look nicer but also to help ensure that sorting works as expected.
-- GENERAL: you can now print a course roster for a custom course
-- GENERAL: when generating reports in JumpRope, you get improved visual indication when we're waiting for the server to generate a file so that you're less likely to think that something is broken if it is just taking awhile
-- PLAN: a fix was applied so that custom default assessment weights for custom assessment types now apply properly in the Plan (beta)
-- REPORTS: Improvements to the visual feedback for schools using the Rigor Rating feature

..and a few more on the way soon! Thanks!

Hello again from the development team! This weekend (9/21/2014) brought another batch of small updates and fixes based on feedback over the first few weeks of the school year. Here are the highlights:

-- a new version of the mobile app for iOS is now available on the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. This update fixes a number of bugs and adds a couple of new features, so make sure to download and install v1.5.1 as soon as possible! An equivalent update for Android devices is coming later this week.
-- we have significantly improved the process of sending out welcome emails to the Student & Parent Portal. You can now include both student and parent emails (at your discretion) and can preview/edit the message before it gets sent out. Look for more improvements to other bulk emails in the near future!
-- for school districts that centrally manage their Standard Bank, changes to the district standard bank will automatically apply to all schools in the district without any further action on your part (can take up to 30 seconds to apply, depending on how many are changed). NOTE: this also means that the standards can no longer be edited via the Admin Console for an individual school in a district that centrally manages their Standard Bank via the District Admin tool.
-- we released a small update to the student and parent portal to improve attendance reporting and overall performance
-- we fixed an issue with the Common Core Summary report in the Courses and Reports tabs.
-- we changed the blue button titled "Add or Edit Standards" in the Plan (beta) to read "Manage Course Standards." We hope that this doesn't catch anyone off guard - it's designed to be a more clear explanation for the schools and districts that manage their Standard Bank in different ways. It works the same as it always has, and it is still blue and in the same location...
-- The Student & Parent Portal settings tab in the Admin Console has received a substantial update, consolidating settings to be easier to understand and adding some additional functionality to the Account sub-tab that makes it easier to set passwords, send welcome emails, and ninja into student accounts. We updated the help documentation to reflect the changes as well. From now on if you need to add or edit student usernames and passwords, you can do so from the Accounts sub-tab. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have related questions.
-- teachers working in the Plan (beta) tab can no longer see units created by other teachers in their school when creating or editing assessments (this was causing confusion).
-- teachers in the Grade tab can no longer see units created by other teachers in their school when browsing the "Other Units" section of the drop-down menu.
-- a fix to the Student & Parent Portal was added to improve the security of the logout process and no longer require the student or parent to close the browser tab.
-- improved clarity of the error message received when administrators attempted to create user accounts for teachers using an email address that already existed in the system (e.g. a free JumpRope account or an account that existed at another school).
-- we improved the login and application performance for schools and districts with a large bank of standards > 1,000
-- schools can now set up custom school-wide biographical fields via the Biographicals section of the Admin Console Settings tab. Improved help documentation is coming shortly. This should make storing student and parent contact information more flexible and easier to use.

    Stay tuned for more!

    Hello friends,

A heads up that last night (around 6pm EST) we released an unscheduled update to JumpRope in order to fix a couple of high priority bugs that snuck in via our weekend release. We have also responded individually via our support ticketing system to anyone who reached out pointing out the problem.

-- certain schools - particularly a few that use our new hierarchical standards system - were unable to load student progress reports due to a message stating that they had an "invalid grouping scheme." This should now be resolved.
-- schools using our Plan (beta) tab, when editing an existing assessment, would sometimes see the incorrect Unit shown in the assessment change form. Though this would not save (as in, the assessment wouldn't actually move to the incorrect unit if you clicked on Save), it was understandably causing a great deal of confusion.
-- schools using the Plan (beta) tab were unable to dis-associated (read: un-align) standards from their assessments after previously aligning the assessments. The intention here was to make it more difficult to un-align an assessment (show a warning) since many teachers didn't realize that it would affect their grade tab as well, but we accidentally made it a bit too hard (read: impossible). Sorry about that!

Also a heads up that our Student Biographical tools which allow you to import, export, view, manage, and utilize contact information for students, parents, and families continue to see upgrades to make it easier to use. We encourage you to check out the new Biographicals section in the Settings section of the Admin Console in order to define, import, and export contact information to make it easier to stay in touch with the community! Look forward to a formal release with documentation on these new features soon - in the meantime, we welcome your feedback.

    Thanks!

Happy Friday! We have a few things to announce today, which involve a couple of updates over the last two weeks.

    NEW STUFF!

--A new version of our iOS (iPhone and iPad) application was released on the App Store. This version has several bug fixes, improvements to the student and parent interface, and has better support for our schools that use hierarchical standards. Download it now and let us know what you think!
--A new version of our Android app will be released in the next few hours on the Google Play store that mirrors the improvements to the iOS app as well as fixes a problem that was causing the app to crash during the login process on certain devices.
--We've added some great new features to our Student & Parent Portal in anticipation of schools launching the Portal in October (which is very common). We are also offering free consultation calls regarding setup of the Portal to any schools or districts that are launching the portal for the first time this year.. just reach out to our support team to schedule a call! New features include:
----More options to show grade conversions on the portal (can now show codes) not yet available on the mobile version
----Ability to "flag" missing work within the Current Grades section of the Portal to help students and parents drill down to locate missing assessments within context. This is in addition to the existing Grade Alerts tab, which shows ONLY the missing work. currently not availabel on the mobile version
----Ability to log in to the web-based version with the same username and password as the mobile version (a no brainer if you're heavily using the mobile portal, which does not allow login with biographical information)
----Improved account management tools in the Admin Console to make importing/exporting usernames and passwords even easier
----The ability to automagically set passwords for new students so that you don't have to remember to set a password every time a new student enrolls in the school... cool!
----A vastly-improved interface for sending welcome emails to students and parents with instructions to log into the Portal. You can now customize the message that they receive, as well as send it to multiple emails per student.
----The mobile student/parent portal now includes the ability to show a customized welcome message upon login - just set it up in the Admin Console!
--Significant performance improvement during the login process, especially for schools with > 500 students
--Significant performance improvement loading school-wide Comments reports in the backoffice
--You can now bulk-print progress reports by grade level, which is useful if you don't have Advisory/Homeroom set up
--Auto-filling of grades now works with CTRL-DOWNARROW and CTRL-RIGHTARROW in addition to CTRL-D and CTRL-R, both for easier remembering and because some browsers have shortcuts associated with D and R
--We've added an Edline Gradequick DAT file export to our arsenal of SIS integrations (LABS)
--Additional grouping schemes have been enabled in the Courses->Mastery tab for our schools using hierarchical standards, including the triumphant return of the Student Pivot (LABS)
--Entering scores "By Standard" in the Grade tab has been activated for schools using our hierarchical standards - this is currently part of our JumpRope Labs as we'd like to hear user feedback.
--Individual historical attendance records are now easier than ever to edit (LABS)
--Teachers can now see the username and access instructions for the student / parent portal in the Student->Biographicals tab (they can also "ninja" into the account!)
--Users contacting our support team now have the ability to easily specify their preferred contact email
--We are testing an "ink-saver" option on our progress reports to reduce the amount of ink/toner required to print student grades (LABS)
--We have a very cool new interface for adding custom biographical information (extra contact names, numbers, and emails, etc.) to students. Check out the brand new Biographicals section in the Admin Console to get started.
--Bulk emailing of progress reports to students and/or parents has been vastly improved, allowing you to customize the message in the email and send the reports to multiple contact emails per student. Check it out as a great way to save paper!

    FIXES
--The attendance submission report should now accurately reflect attendance for each co-teacher of a super-course (edge case.. was working fine for the vast majority of folks)
--Exporting your full student roster from the Admin Console was broken
--Checking the "Follow" button under a student name should now work properly for all students
--Un-publishing assessments is now working properly
--Moving scores between courses in Clean Grades Mode is now working properly
--Bulk printing of student schedules is now alphabetizing properly
--We've fixed a couple of issues related to time-zones not reflecting properly in the creation timestamps on comments and attendance (this primarily affected our international schools)
--The Daily Attendance Pivot report now supports periods 0-11 (previously only supported 0-10 due to an oversight)
--Fix for marking interventions as served in the Backoffice
    --Several other pesky bugs squashed.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Hello friends,

It has been awhile since our last update, though a lot of behind-the-scenes development has been taking place to improve our performance, security, and reliability. We've also squashed several bugs, made some minor improvements to existing features, and introduced a whole set of new features as part of JumpRope Labs (you'll have to keep sharp to spot them as they aren't all part of these announcements just yet).

    Improvements:
--Score specific dates different than the usual assignment due date can now be entered when entering score comments.
--Comment views are now auto-refreshed when individual comments are opened to ensure the most recent entries are visible.
--BackOffice ‘Print All Schedules’ is not streamlined to not include Inactive Teachers and Teachers with no courses assigned.
--The “move grades” feature now displays the teacher’s name instead of the Schedule Code to make it easier to use.
--Long Unit lists in the Plan tab now have a scroll bar upon initial loading.
--Score specific dates different than the usual assignment due date can now be entered when entering score comments (labs)
--The performance of attendance queries for Classroom Edition has been significantly improved.
--Assessment due dates now have more sophisticated validation.

    Bug fixes:
--Clone Everything now correctly includes the cloning of the unit dates.
--The Unit list in the Plan tab is now alphabetized to match the Unit list in the Grade tab.
--The network performance of the Clone Unit function has been improved.
--The “Show Inactive Students” list selection is now working properly in the Admin Console Schedule/Student tab.
--The “View Attendance” selection is now working properly in the Teacher Dashboard Courses tab.
--Comment reports and exports now have the Issuer field populated in all cases.
--Adding new students to the Schedule tab of the Admin Console for those of you using the manual scheduling tool now works correctly.
--When starting to delete a unit, users can now change their mind and the unit deletion will be more gracefully aborted.

    More to come soon!

A bugfix release today that also includes some general performance improvements and updates to prepare for TFA's summer institute. NOTE: On May 22nd, a critical update to JumpRope's iOS app was published to the app store to fix a bug that was preventing users from logging in on some devices - please look for the update! Reports are still trickling in that some users are having trouble with the Android app on some phones, which we are continuing to work on.

    As for the web app,
--There is a new option to omit comments from the report wizard.
--You can now export scores to Excel from the View by Unit view in the grade tab (that's for you, HSC!)

    Bug Fixes:
--Switching to a new course in the Course tab now automatically refreshes the Mastery report.
--New Users creation in the Admin Console is fixed.
--In certain cases, sending a copy of a unit between teachers of the same site would not include standards alignments. This has been resolved.
--An issue where a different list of units would appear in the Grade tab vs. the Plan (beta) tab for a given course has been resolved
--Improvements were made to the View by Unit view in the Grade

An update is rolling out today that includes a couple of fixes and improvements, as well as a new feature!

NEW: When bulk-emailing progress reports to students and parents, you can now edit the message subject as well as the body of the email.

IMPROVED: After switching grouping schemes in any mastery report, there is now an easy option to return to the default grouping scheme for that particular view.

FIXED: Course Grades and Comments, accessible via the Grade tab, now correctly honors the same default date range as mastery reports in the Courses and Students tab (and thus will always show the same list of students, standards, and assessments)

-When creating or edit standards in the district bank, the non-relevant fields are disabled
-The user interface for the Reports tab was re-organized to make it easier to find the most commonly used reports and relieve the display of the seldom used reports.

FIXED: An issue that caused standards in the district bank and in the plan tab not to load in their entirety for some users has been fixed.

NEW: Users with access to our online teacher training can now send course details to all users in bulk via the Admin Console.

IMPROVED: The "stars" rating system has been removed from anecdotal comments by default, as it caused some confusion, but can still be used by those to whom it is relevant.

    FIXED:
-Unit creation in free accounts is now saving and loading properly for all users.
-When saving a newly created unit, the Start and End dates, Grade Level, and Description data are now saved properly even if a course has not yet been selected, which had not been the case for some users.
-Course sections can now be successfully deleted from the manual scheduling interface.

NEW: Easier interface for viewing mastery data from previous years by displaying grading periods from previous years in the drop-down selection.

    IMPROVED:
-Now running on Amazon's Aurora database engine for increased speed and reliability.
-The standards bank editor now defaults to the first published bank if one exists. -Green progress bars at the top of the screen have been eliminated in all but the most lengthy database queries.

FIXED: School and location information entered into the Welcome Wizard for Classroom Edition accounts now saves properly.

Un-enrolling students from a course in the manual scheduler now works in all cases.
