As you use the Planning Tool, Comments, and other aspects of JumpRope, it may be helpful to upload documents such as handouts, presentations, etc. JumpRope allows you to do this by accessing the "View or Upload" or "Add an attachment" buttons within the "Details" box on the right of your screen when viewing any data type. It looks like this:
The window that pops up will allow you to upload new files, or download files that have previously been uploaded.
- To upload a file: Click on the "Upload File" button in the lower left, and select one or more files to upload from your hard drive, Google Drive, or other source.
- To add a link to a web site or Google Doc: Click on the "add a web link" button at the top. Remember that links to Google Docs need to be shared with users or made public, and if you do so others may be able to edit your document. If you'd like to attach a new copy of a Google Doc, use the Upload File button and browser your drive (JumpRope will save a new copy of the file).
- To download a file: Click on the title of the file or link.
- To delete a file: Click the action button to the right of the file you'd like to delete.
One neat thing about attached files is that they will "follow" a unit, standard, or assessment when you share or clone units within JumpRope. This allows for really easy sharing of curricular resources with other teachers at your school.
When uploading files, you have a choice of several different sources.
