Overview of the Student/Parent Portal
JumpRope’s Student/Parent Portal is an important tool in the communication loop from school to home and back. This document gives an overview of the basic features of the Portal.
School administrators: For information on Portal settings please see this document.
Portal Welcome Tab
When you log in to the Portal you’ll be directed to the Welcome Tab. Schools have the option to customize the items available on this tab and as well as to create a custom message.
Current Grades Tab
The Current Grades Tab is a dynamic report where you can “drill into” any level to see your student’s scores. Each level shows a corresponding overall score to the right. The detail levels of this report may vary based on your school's terminology and settings.
Grade Alerts Tab
The Grade Alerts Tab lists all missing student work along with the name of the teacher who assigned it, a link to email them, and the due date of the assignment.
Upcoming Work Tab
Listed on the Upcoming Work Tab are any assessments that a teacher has explicitly assigned as upcoming and has future date. You can see the assessment name, who assigned it, a link to email them and the due date of the assessment. NOTE: All assessments are NOT listed here, only those which the teacher explicitly assigns as “upcoming.”
If your student’s school uses JumpRope to track attendance, you will find information on this tab that includes period by period attendance and attendance trends over time.
If your school has schedules enabled, you can view and print your student's schedule here.
