This article is intended for school and district administrators using our District Edition that are responsible for managing the bank of standards for teachers to use in the gradebook throughout the year.
While the goal is to usually maintain a consistent Bank of Standards, the need may arise to update an aspect for a group of your standards all at once. For example, perhaps your curriculum has been reorganized and you need to edit the instruction level for several standards all at once to something new.
1. In the District Admin module, select the Standards Bank Tab, and click the blue button to Manage Standards Bank.
2. Select the Standard Bank from the menu on the left and click into the level of standards where you need to make your updates. Check the box for each standard that you need to update in bulk. Note you may want to filter for a specific instruction level or other category first.
3. Enter the new value(s) for the field that you are overwriting. If you are adding instructional levels, be sure to include ALL levels that the standards should now have, not just the ones you want added. For example if the standards were previously only assigned to grade 6 and now they should be for 6, 7 and 8, you will need to include 7, 8 AND 6 in the box for instructional level as this change REPLACES the existing data. Remember this will update that field for ALL of the standards that you selected/checked all at once. Note a standard can have multiple instruction levels, but they cannot have multiple parent standards or calculation methods. Click the blue Submit button when done.
