What does this page include?
You’ll learn how to create, edit and manage Parent Standards. This includes bulk imports, creating individual standards, and managing details including Child Standard and Bank association.
Who is this information for?
District and possibly School level administrative staff.
What’s important to know?
Parent Standards must be created before their underlying Child Standards. A Parent Standard can be associated with one or more banks.
What’s changed?
Standards are now available in two different views; hierarchical and list. In the hierarchy view Child Standards are nested within their Parent Standards which are in turn nested within their Content Area. In the list views either Parent or Child standards are listed independent of their relationship to each other.
How to create new Parent Standards one at a time
From the Admin Console page, select Standards.
Select a Standard Bank to continue by clicking on the name of the desired bank.
Select a View
In Hierarchy View, select More Options menu ︙in top right. Select New Parent Standard.
In Parent Standards List View, select New Parent Standard in top right.
In details window that opens enter Title, select Standard Type, Content Area and Banks, enter optional Description, toggle Show on Transcripts. Note that as you begin to type a title, potential duplicates will display to the right. This feature only lists possible duplicates, it does not prevent you from creating a duplicate Parent Standard. Select Save.
